Sadiq Umar and Alhassan Yusuf are the only players yet to arrive as the number of Super Eagles players in camp has risen to 21 ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
Nine more players arrived at the Eagles’ camp on Tuesday morning, bringing the total to 21. The players who landed in Kigali on Tuesday were captain William Troost-Ekong, Wilfred Ndidi, Calvin Bassey, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi, Joseph Aribo, Igoh Ogbu, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and Ola Aina.
Before their arrival, six other players—Simon Moses, Victor Boniface, Raphael Onyedika, Jordan Torunarigha, Stanley Nwabali, and Samuel Chukwueze—had joined the camp on Monday evening, increasing the number to 12. This followed the early arrival of six players, including Victor Osimhen and new boy Tolu Arokodare, on Sunday evening.
The Eagles are expected to hold their first training session on Tuesday morning ahead of Friday’s game against Rwanda. They will then return to Uyo to face Zimbabwe next Tuesday.
The team sits fifth in their group with three points, four behind leaders Rwanda, South Africa, and Benin Republic. They risk missing out on the World Cup if they fail to close the gap.
