Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has gifted N10 million to the players and management of Remo Stars in celebration of their historic first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title win.
The Sky Blue Stars made history with a 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Sunday, securing their first major trophy since the club was founded in 2010 and marking the first time in 25 years that a team from the Southwest has won the NPFL title.
Their triumph has served as an inspiration to many, prompting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to extend his congratulations to the team in a statement released on Monday.
Reports indicate that Victor Osimhen called the team earlier this afternoon to also congratulate the players, expressing his deep admiration for their determination and resilience.

He then followed up the conversation by gifting N5 million to the players and another N5 million to the technical crew.
Beyond his outstanding performances on the field, Victor Osimhen has consistently demonstrated a generous nature off the pitch, with his recent gift to Remo Stars serving as further proof of his dedication to supporting others.
The Super Eagles striker will be aiming to replicate Remo Stars’ achievement of winning their league as he continues to lead Galatasaray to their 25th Turkish Super Lig title.
