Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has agreed to join Besiktas on a free transfer. The 27-year-old will earn an annual salary of €2.5 million as part of the deal, Bold Sports reports.
According to Turkish outlet Sozcu.com, Besiktas have agreed to meet Osayi-Samuel’s salary demand of €2.5 million per year. The 27-year-old is expected to undergo a medical and will be officially unveiled as a Besiktas player soon.
Initially, the Super Eagles defender had requested an annual salary of €2.5 million along with a €1 million sign-on fee. Besiktas had hoped to secure his services for €2 million per year but ultimately agreed to his terms to finalize the deal.

The arrival of the experienced Nigerian defender is seen as a significant boost for new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær, who is looking to strengthen the right-back and right wing-back positions ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The Nigerian brings valuable experience, having completed five seasons in the Turkish Super Lig. His familiarity with the league and consistent performance make him a strategic acquisition for the Black Eagles.
Despite attracting interest from clubs in the Premier League and Ligue 1, Osayi-Samuel has opted to continue his career in Turkey. His decision provides Besiktas with a timely reinforcement in defense, as the club prepares to kick off pre-season training on June 28. Osayi-Samuel secures €2.5m-a-year deal sees an end to Premier League and Ligue 1 teams on his tail.
