Okongwu outshines Agbaji in Hawks win

Onyeka Okongwu recorded a double-double for the Atlanta Hawks in their 115-108 win over the Utah Jazz on Saturday at the Vivint Smart Home Arena while Ochai Agbaji also had an impressive showing for the Jazz.

Okongwu totalled 15 points, 11 rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes off the bench. He was the Hawks third highest points contributor after Trae Young (27), De’Andre Hunter (26).

The 22-year-old will be hoping to continue his impressive performance when they visit the Denver Nuggets at the Ball Arena in Colorado.

Despite Jazz’s loss, Agbaji contributed 11 points and two rebounds in 24 minutes off the bench. Lauri Markkanen had 25 points and 10 rebounds, Jordan Clarkson scored 24 while Mike Conley finished with 20 points and eight assists.

At the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Chimezie scored 10 points in 10 minutes off the bench for the Sacramento Kings in their 107-104 loss to the Indiana Pacers while at the Toyota Center in Houston, Precious Achiuwa nine points, eight rebounds and two assists for the Toronto Raptors in a 117-111 win over the Houston Rockets.
