Despite reaching an agreement to sign Canadian striker Jonathan David, Italian giants Juventus are reportedly still keen on adding Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen to their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.

According to multiple reports from Italy, including football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, free agent Jonathan David has reached a verbal agreement with the Bianconeri and is expected to undergo his medical and finalize the move in the coming days.

Juventus have long admired Osimhen and are eager to bring the Nigerian star to Turin this summer, especially as they look to part ways with Serbian striker Dušan Vlahović, who has shown no intention of extending his contract beyond 2026.

Football Italia’s transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà reports that Juve remain determined to sign Osimhen to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming campaign.

Osimhen enjoyed a prolific loan spell in Turkey, helping Galatasaray clinch two domestic trophies while scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.

According to Sky Sport, contacts between Juventus and Osimhen’s representatives intensified over the weekend.

While Osimhen has a €75 million release clause in his Napoli contract, it does not apply to Serie A clubs. As a result, Juventus would need to negotiate directly with Napoli to secure the striker’s signature.
