Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi continued his impressive form for Viktoria Plzen, scoring a brace and assisting another goal to secure a 4-2 win over Sparta Prague in their league clash at the Epet Arena on Sunday.
Rafiu Durosinmi had been on unstoppable form prior to the crucial game against Sparta Prague, delivering six goal contributions in the 11 matches he played since returning from an injury that sidelined him for over a year.
Due to his displays, the Nigerian striker led Viktoria Plzen in attack once again as they sought to secure a win against their rivals, however, the home side took an early lead in the 8th minute, as Lukas Haraslin scored to silence the away crowd.
Few minutes after going behind, the visitors leveled the scoreline through Pavel Sulc’s effort before Rafiu Durosinmi scored to give them the lead in the 37th minute, completing a remarkable turnaround before half-time.

In the second half, Nigerian attacker Victor Olatunji was brought on for Sparta Prague in a bid to inspire a comeback. Few seconds after his introduction, the home team equalized, with Filip Panak netting the leveler.
Desperate to regain their lead, Viktoria Plzen came out in search of a winner and they were rewarded when Rafiu Durosinmi scored his second goal in the 53rd minute before assisting Matej Vydra eight minutes later to net the visitors’ fourth goal and ultimately seal their win, claiming all three points away from home.
With the crucial win, Viktoria Plzen overtook Sparta Prague on the table, climbing up to third with 56 points, one point ahead of the home side who dropped to fourth.
