Bayelsa Queens will face defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa, Egypt’s Wadi Degla and a representative from the Central African Football Federations’ Union in Group B of the second edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League, scheduled to take place from 30 October to 13 November 2022 in Morocco.

The draw took place at the Mohammed VI Technical Centre in Rabat on Friday.

The Prosperity Girls as they are fondly called qualified for the Champions League after defeating Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa in the final of WAFU Zone B Qualifier on September 4 in Ivory Coast.

In group A, the host club ASFAR FC (Morocco) who finished third in the competition’s maiden edition will face Tanzania’s Simba Queens, Zambia’s Green Buffaloes and Liberia’s Determine Girls.

It is Bayelsa Queens’ debut in the competition replacing Rivers Angels who represented Nigeria in the maiden edition in Egypt last year.
