Super Falcons duo Rinsola Babajide and Shukurat Oladipo were crowned champions of the Italian Serie A Femminile after AS Roma defeated Genoa 2-0 in their final game of the season on Saturday.
A brace from Giulia Dragoni secured victory for the hosts as AS Roma lifted the Serie A Femminile title for the third time in their history.
Roma finished the campaign with 55 points from 22 matches, recording 17 wins, four draws and just one defeat. They ended the season 10 points clear of second-placed Inter Milan, who finished with 44 points.
Babajide and Oladipo played key roles for the team throughout the season in both the domestic league and the UEFA Women’s Champions League. By winning the Serie A Femminile title, AS Roma also secured automatic qualification for next season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Reacting to the triumph, Super Falcons forward Babajide described winning her first-ever league title as a dream come true.
“From cage football in Brixton to winning the Serie A Women’s league in Rome. Growing up, I always felt like we weren’t meant to make it out of where I’m from, but we break barriers and change the odds regardless, and I don’t take this one lightly,” Babajide wrote on social media.
“Thankful for my community, fans and loved ones. You all are the best. God did! Season after season of persistence, hard work, sacrifice, patience and self-belief has made it all worth it.
“My first league title. Guys, always dream big and never give up. You never know how close you are to achieving your goals.”
