Victor Osimhen has returned to full training with Galatasaray ahead of their league match against Gençlerbirliği on Saturday, Bold Sports reports.

The Super Eagles striker, who has registered 19 goals and five assists in 29 appearances this season, had been out for several weeks after suffering a forearm fracture.

The injury was sustained during Galatasaray’s 4-0 loss to Liverpool in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash on March 18.

Since then, the Turkish champions have struggled in the league, picking up four points from a possible nine. Although they still sit top of the Süper Lig standings, their lead has been cut to two points with five matches remaining.

However, Osimhen’s return to full training provides a significant boost for Galatasaray as they aim to clinch a fourth consecutive league title. In newly released images on the club’s official X page, the striker was seen training alongside his teammates ahead of the game against Gençlerbirliği.

Gençlerbirliği are currently 15th in the Süper Lig and have gone nine league matches without a win. They have also failed to defeat Galatasaray since 2018.

With Osimhen back in action, Galatasaray will be eager to get back to winning form before their crucial next league game against second-placed Fenerbahçe, which could ultimately decide the title race.
