Ademola Lookman’s composed finish against Barcelona has been nominated for the Champions League goal of the day, Bold Sports reports.
The Super Eagles winger sent Atletico Madrid through to the semifinals of the competition for the first time since 2017 with his strike, while eliminating Hansi Flick’s Barcelona.
The visitors had taken an early 2-0 lead to level the score line on aggregate. However, in the 31st minute, a quick counterattack saw Atletico beat Barcelona’s high line, before Marcos Llorente fed Lookman who tucked the ball in to make it 3-2 on aggregate.
The Nigerian International is nominated alongside Ballon D’or holder Ousmane Dembele who scored in PSG’s 2-0 win over Liverpool. Ferran Torres’ strike against Atletico is also shortlisted.

Since joining Diego Simeone’s side, Lookman has been in exceptional form, scoring six goals and recording four assists in 17 games.
The winger has been crucial for Atletico who are pushing to end the season with a trophy. They are currently in the final four of the Champions League and the final of the Copa del Rey where they will face Real Sociedad.
