Alex Iwobi’s superb strike against Tottenham Hotspur has been nominated for the Guinness Premier League Goal of the Month award for March, Bold Sports reports.

The nomination adds to what has already been a standout month for the 29-year-old, who is also in contention for the Premier League Player of the Month award after a string of impressive performances for Fulham.

Iwobi’s nominated goal came during Fulham’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham, where he produced a moment of real quality in the 34th minute. The Nigerian combined neatly with Harry Wilson in a quick one-two on the edge of the box before calmly side-footing his effort off the post and into the bottom corner to double his side’s lead.

The goal proved crucial in the context of the match, as Tottenham pulled one back in the 66th minute. However, Fulham held firm to secure all three points, a result that could prove vital in their push for European qualification.

Iwobi faces stiff competition for the award, with six other players in contention. Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White is nominated twice for his strikes against Brighton and Manchester City, while his teammate Elliot Anderson is nominated for his long-range effort against Manchester City also.

Other players shortlisted include Newcastle United’s William Osula, Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva, Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye, and Aston Villa’s John McGinn.

Fans can vote for their favorite goal on the Premier League’s official website until Monday, March 30, with the winner set to be decided by a combination of public votes and a panel of experts before being announced next week.
