Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has begun his rehabilitation process after undergoing successful knee surgery in Innsbruck, Austria.
Following weeks of deliberation, the Nigeria international opted to have surgery on his right knee and has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
Boniface shared a video on social media platform Snapchat showing him working with a physiotherapist, undergoing leg stretches, and later walking with the aid of a support device.

The forward endured a challenging 2025/26 campaign, failing to find the back of the net in 11 Bundesliga appearances but providing two assists while on loan at Werder Bremen from Bayer Leverkusen.
While his expected return date remains uncertain, Boniface will be hoping to recover fully and come back stronger.
Injury setbacks have unfortunately been a recurring theme in his career, with the striker having suffered two anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries since turning professional.
