Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen won the TotalEnergies Man of the Match award after scoring and providing an assist in Nigeria’s dominant 2-0 victory over Algeria in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) quarterfinal clash on Saturday, Bold Sports reports.

After several missed chances in the first half, Osimhen broke the deadlock two minutes into the second half, getting on the end of Onyemaechi’s brilliant cross before heading past Zidane to give Nigeria the lead.

The Galatasaray striker unselfishly assisted Akor Adams goal 10 minutes later, receiving a defense-splitting pass from Iwobi before teeing up the Sevilla man who showed composure, dribbling past Zidane and then passing into an empty net.

The Carthage Eagles reached the final four after securing a 2-0 victory over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. Brahim Diaz, another player on impressive form with five goals, scored the opener before Saibari wrapped up the victory in the 74th minute.
