Super Falcons forward Rinsola Babajide has returned to training for AS Roma, but she will not be fit in time for Tuesday’s UEFA Women’s Champions League clash against Valerenga at the Stadio Tre Fontane, Bold Sports reports.
The 27-year-old has been sidelined for over a month, with her last appearance coming in Roma’s Serie A Femminile season opener, a 4-0 victory over Parma Calcio 1913.
While she has made progress in recovery and rejoined team training, she wasn’t included in the squad for the Women’s Champions League game, with a possible return instead targeted for Sunday’s league clash against Lazio.

Roma have enjoyed a strong start to their domestic campaign, winning four of their first five games to sit top of the Serie A table with 12 points, two ahead of Fiorentina despite a recent 5-2 defeat to the latter.
However, their Champions League form has been less impressive. The Giallorosse have suffered heavy defeats in their opening two games: 6-2 to Real Madrid and 4-0 to Barcelona leaving them 17th in the league phase standings with the worst defensive record.
With Valerenga also yet to pick up a point after losses to Wolfsburg and Manchester United, Tuesday’s fixture is a must-win for both sides. Roma will hope to secure a positive result before welcoming Babajide back for the league clash, where she could be crucial.
Babajide’s return to full fitness would provide a timely boost for Luca Rossettini’s side as they look to maintain their domestic dominance and reignite their European ambitions.
