Nigeria’s women’s senior national team, the Super Falcons, and the U-17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, have both been nominated for the National Team of the Year (Women) category at the 2025 CAF Awards.

The CAF Awards is an annual ceremony that celebrates the best of African football – honouring outstanding male and female players, teams, and individuals who have made significant contributions to the sport across the continent.

The Super Falcons, winners of the last two editions, will battle it out with their junior counterparts, the Flamingos, as well as national teams from Morocco, South Africa, Ghana, Mali, and Tanzania, alongside the U-17 teams of Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and Zambia.
