Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala has been named the Saudi Women’s Premier League Player of the Month for September following her blistering start to life at Al Hilal Women, Bold Sports reports.

The Nigerian forward wasted no time in making her mark, scoring on her debut against Al Qadsiah before adding a goal and an assist each in consecutive matches against Al Ahli and Neom SC. Her tally of three goals and two assists in just three appearances has underlined her pedigree as one of the league’s standout players.

Oshoala’s influence has been central to Al Hilal’s strong start to the season. The Riyadh club have maintained a perfect record after three matches, winning all three while scoring 10 goals, the third-highest in the division, and conceding five. They are level with Al Nassr, who top the standings with 13 goals scored and just two conceded.

It was a clean sweep of monthly awards for Al Hilal, with Layla Ali claiming the Goalkeeper of the Month prize and Jose Herrera being named Coach of the Month.

Oshoala and her teammates will now look to extend their winning streak when they host Al Ittihad at the Prince Faisal bin Fahad Stadium on Thursday.
