NBA superstar Anthony Edwards has revealed that the former teammates he misses the most, both on and off the court, are D’Tigers shooting guard Josh Okogie and power forward Jarred Vanderbilt.
Edwards, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, has since blossomed into the face of the Minnesota Timberwolves, leading them to the 2024 Western Conference Finals, where they fell 4–1 to Luka Dončić’s Denver Nuggets.
He shared the Timberwolves locker room with Okogie for two seasons (2020–2022) before the Nigerian guard moved to the Phoenix Suns, while Vanderbilt also departed in 2022 to join the Utah Jazz.

Despite their departures nearly three years ago, Edwards still holds fond memories of their time together in Minnesota. During the Timberwolves’ media day, when asked which former teammate he misses the most, Edwards didn’t hesitate:
“Jarred Vanderbilt and Josh Okogie,” he replied.
As Edwards prepares for his sixth season in Minnesota, Okogie is beginning a new chapter with the Houston Rockets, having signed a one-year deal to kick off his eighth NBA campaign. Vanderbilt, meanwhile, is entering his eighth NBA season and his fourth with the Los Angeles Lakers.
