England women’s coach Sarina Wiegman has edged Nigeria’s Justine Madugu to win the prestigious Johan Cruyff Award, bestowed annually on the best women’s coach in the world.
Wiegman, who guided the Lionesses to the 2025 UEFA Women’s European Championship crown, was recognised ahead of Madugu, who had steered the Super Falcons to a record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title earlier this year.
