D’Tigress forward Amy Okonkwo has made WNBA history, becoming only the third undrafted player in league history to average 11.3+ points per game across her first three appearances.
Okonkwo, whose seven-day hardship contract with the Dallas Wings was recently extended, continued her impressive start by scoring 11 points and grabbing a joint game-high six rebounds in the Wings’ 100-76 loss to the Atlanta Dream.
Although the team couldn’t secure a win, Okonkwo etched her name into the record books with her consistent scoring streak.

According to league stats, “Amy Okonkwo, just the third undrafted player in the last 20 seasons to average 11.3+ points per game over her first three games, is up to 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, marking her third consecutive double-digit scoring game.”
Other Wings players also had standout performances. Paige Bueckers recorded her second points-assists double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 assists, matching her career high in assists.
Meanwhile, Maddy Siegrist delivered a career-high 23 points, tying her personal best with three made three-pointers.
