Cremonese have set a €2.5 million price tag on Nigerian forward David Okereke after rejecting an initial €1 million bid from La Liga side Rayo Vallecano.

Okereke’s future remains uncertain following his return from a season-long loan at Turkish club Gaziantep, where he scored nine goals in 30 appearances.

The 27-year-old has featured twice for Cremonese this season, playing 36 minutes in their 5-4 penalty shootout loss to Palermo in the Coppa Italia first round and logging 65 minutes in their stunning 2-1 victory over AC Milan in the 2025/26 Serie A opener.

According to golatv.com, CalcioCremonese reports that Vallecano’s €1 million offer was swiftly rejected, as Cremonese believes it falls well below their valuation of the striker. Okereke remains under contract with the Italian club until 2026, and the management is unwilling to consider offers below the €2.5 million mark.

Although Cremonese have publicly stated they are not actively looking to sell Okereke, they remain open to negotiations. A revised offer meeting their valuation could change their stance.

Since joining the club in 2022, Okereke has contributed 11 goals and five assists for Cremonese.
