Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen made his first appearance since completing a permanent move to Galatasaray as the Turkish champions secured a 3-0 victory over Fatih Karagümrük in their Super Lig clash on Friday, Bold Sports reports.
The 26-year-old was unable to make the squad for Galatasaray’s season opener — a 3-0 victory over Gaziantep FK — but came off the bench in the 62nd minute to replace Mario Lemina against Karagümrük.
Galatasaray took an early lead in the 10th minute through Barış Alper Yılmaz, who netted his third goal of the season. The visitors’ night worsened soon after as Marius Trésor Doh received a red card, handing the hosts a numerical advantage before the break.
The champions pressed for a second after the restart, and their persistence paid off shortly after Osimhen’s introduction as Fatih Kuruçuk inadvertently turned the ball into his own net while trying to deny the Nigerian striker a scoring chance.
