Napoli have issued a Monday deadline to Galatasaray to wrap up paperwork for the permanent transfer of Victor Osimhen, as the two clubs move closer to sealing one of the most high-profile deals of the summer, Bold Sports reports.

According to Football Italia, The Serie A side’s patience is understood to be running out, despite a near-complete agreement on financial terms and key clauses. Osimhen, who spent last season on loan in Istanbul, was in devastating form for Galatasaray, netting 37 goals and registering eight assists in just 41 competitive matches.

Napoli and Galatasaray had been locked in protracted negotiations all summer, but according to reports from Italy, most of the major issues have now been resolved. The Turkish champions will pay €40 million upfront, with the remaining €35 million to be settled in instalments by June 2026.

A major breakthrough in the talks came when Galatasaray accepted a strict clause prohibiting the Nigerian striker from moving to any other Serie A club within the next two years. Should they breach this condition, they will be liable to pay a hefty penalty, a move widely interpreted as Napoli’s attempt to block a future switch to rivals Juventus.

Another hurdle — Napoli’s demand for a percentage of any future resale fee — is no longer seen as a dealbreaker. While discussions are ongoing, the Italian club reportedly view this clause as secondary and are unlikely to let it derail the transfer.

With financial terms and the anti-Serie A clause already settled, Napoli now expect Galatasaray to complete all remaining paperwork by Monday. The deadline is intended to force a conclusion to what has been a long-drawn process, as Napoli prepare for the new season and Osimhen remains absent from their pre-season training camp.

If the deal is finalised, it will mark the end of a successful but turbulent stint in Italy for the 25-year-old Super Eagles forward and confirm his evolution into one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers.
