Alex Iwobi’s dramatic 99th-minute winner against Newcastle United on March 17, 2022, and Daniel Amokachi’s iconic strike from April 14, 1995, also against Newcastle, have been named among the greatest goals ever scored at Goodison Park.
The recognition comes as Everton marks an emotional farewell to their historic home ground, which has served as the club’s base for 133 years, from 1892 to 2025. To commemorate the moment, the club released a video titled “Best Premier League Goals at Goodison Park”, showcasing 60 of the finest strikes witnessed at the stadium.
As part of their transition, Everton will officially move to the new 52,000-capacity Hill Dickinson Stadium for the 2025/26 Premier League season. Goodison Park, in turn, will become the home of Everton Women.
In paying tribute, the club selected 60 of the most memorable goals scored at the ground, a celebration of its rich legacy.

The compilation includes stunning goals from club legends and fan favourites such as Kevin Campbell, Mikel Arteta, Tim Cahill, Seamus Coleman, Leon Osman, Duncan Ferguson, and Wayne Rooney, among others.
Iwobi’s goal, in particular, stands out, not just for its technical brilliance but for its significance. After winning back possession, Seamus Coleman played the ball to Iwobi, who weaved past a Newcastle defender before combining with Dominic Calvert-Lewin in a smooth one-two move. Iwobi then slotted home with his weaker left foot, sealing a last-gasp victory that proved vital in Everton’s fight against relegation during the 2021/22 campaign.
Also making the list is former Super Eagles star Daniel Amokachi, whose powerful goal against Newcastle in 1995 remains etched in fans’ memories. Interestingly, despite scoring 25 Premier League goals for the club, none of Yakubu Aiyegbeni’s league goals were included in the final selection.
