U-20 AFCON: Flying Eagles to face Tunisia, Kenya, Morocco

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have been drawn to face Tunisia, Kenya, and Morocco in Group B of the TotalEnergies CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations which will take place from 27 April to 18 May, 2025 in Egypt.

The draw for the upcoming continental tournament was conducted on Sunday, April 13 at the Egyptian Football Association headquarters in Cairo, revealing enticing fixtures that guarantee an electrifying start to the tournament.

In Group A, tournament hosts Egypt will be looking to make a strong start in front of their home crowd as they face off against Zambia, Sierra Leone, South Africa and Tanzania. Meanwhile, in Group B, Nigeria who are seven-time champions will battle against former winners Tunisia, as well as Kenya and Morocco.

Group C sees defending champions Senegal begin their quest to reclaim the title by facing Central African Republic, DR Congo, and four-time champions Ghana.

The top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will progress to the quarter-finals and after then, the four semi-finalists will earn tickets to represent Africa at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, Chile 2025.

The Flying Eagles will be determined to lift the U-20 AFCON, seeking to end a four-tournament title drought since their 2015 win over Senegal, defeating the hosts 1-0 to claim the title on that occasion.
