Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi has finally returned to action after 8 months and 11 days injured, coming on during Nice’s 2-1 loss to Monaco in their Ligue 1 clash at the Stade Louis-II on Saturday.
Terem Moffi last featured for Nice in a preseason game against Leganés in July 2024, playing the full 90 minutes before sustaining an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury in training.
The 25-year-old, sidelined since the injury, returned to full training during the international break and made his return to the pitch against Monaco, coming on in the 82nd minute for Baptiste Santamaria as Nice sought to avoid defeat.

After in-form striker Mika Biereth missed a penalty for Monaco in the early minutes of the game, OGC Nice took the lead just before half-time as Jeremie Boga scored with a header, giving the away side the advantage going into the second half.
However, Monaco determined to put PSG’s title celebrations on hold, came from behind to lead the game as Mika Biereth made up for his penalty miss with a goal in the 55th minute before Breel Embolo scored the winner in the 73rd minute, sealing all three points for the hosts.
Despite losing, Nice remained in the top four with 47 points, but they now only lead Strasbourg who sit fifth with one point. Meanwhile, Monaco climbed up to second with 50 points, increasing their chances of securing Champions League qualification.
Terem Moffi will aim to get more minutes in his bid to regain full fitness when Nice host Nantes in their next league clash on Friday, April 4. On the other hand, Monaco will hope to continue their unbeaten run when they visit Brest on Saturday.
