Ikorodu City moved to third on the Nigeria Premier Football League table after their 1-0 away win over Lobi Stars at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu on Saturday. The win is Ikorodu City’s second victory on the road this season.
Shola Adelani scored what proved to be the winner in the 81st minute, earning Ikorodu City their 13th win of the campaign and sending them into the continental qualifying spot, displacing Shooting Stars who fell 1-0 to Katsina United on Friday.
With 10 games until the end of the season, they are currently 10 points adrift of log leaders Remo Stars. The win sees Ikorodu City successfully earn a home and away win over Lobi Stars having defeated the Makurdi-based side 4-2 in their first meeting in Lagos back in October.
The Oga Boys will bask in the euphoria of the three away points as they are set for some tough games ahead. They play Enyimba at home in their next home game before facing Rivers United away from home.

The loss is a huge blow for Lobi Stars who are now rooted in 20th position, eight points away from safety with 10 games until the end of the season.
