Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent has expressed disappointment over his performance during the 2024/25 NBA playoffs, admitting he wished he had contributed more to the team’s postseason run.

The Lakers were eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves in a 4-1 series loss, with Vincent averaging just 2.8 points across five games, shooting 35.7% from the field and 30.8% from three-point range.

This marked Vincent’s first healthy season since joining the Lakers, appearing in 72 regular-season games — a stark contrast to the 2023/24 campaign, when a lingering knee injury limited him to fewer than 10 appearances.

The D’Tigers guard joined the Lakers following a standout run with the Miami Heat, where he played a key role in their journey to the NBA Finals. He signed a three-year, $33 million deal with high expectations from fans and management.

Reflecting on the recently concluded season, the former Heat guard said he was grateful for his return to full fitness but disappointed not to have made a bigger impact when it mattered most.

“I was glad to play a full year after last season, when I was injured and only played a handful of games,” Vincent said.

“It was great to be there the whole season. I had some stretches where I found a good rhythm, but I would’ve loved to have had more of an impact tonight and throughout the series.”
