Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye kept his first clean sheet in six months as Udinese played out a goalless draw against visiting Bologna in an Italian Serie A match on Monday.

Despite dominating possession, Udinese’s defence was largely untroubled, with the Nigerian facing just one shot on target, which he calmly saved.

Okoye’s previous clean sheet in Serie A came during Udinese’s 2-0 victory over Cagliari on October 25, 2024. Since then, he had conceded at least one goal in each of the 11 consecutive games he featured in.

The goalless draw marked hiss fourth clean sheet of the season. So far, he has conceded 32 goals across 21 appearances for Udinese this campaign.

The Nigerian shot-stopper returned to action in March after missing 13 league matches due to a wrist injury that required surgery.

Meanwhile, Okoye’s international teammate Kingsley Ehizibue also featured for Udinese, playing the full 90 minutes. He received a yellow card for a foul in the final minute of the match.
