The 2024 NBA Draft, happening June 26-27 in New York City, could see at least three Nigerian players drafted.
The 2024 NBA Draft first round takes place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, while the second round unfolds at ESPN’s Seaport District Studios in Manhattan.

Mock drafts from CBS Sports and Sports Illustrated suggest Adem Bona, Jonathan Mogbo, and Oso Ighodaro could all hear their names called on June 27th.
Bona might be selected by the Portland Trail Blazers at 40th overall. Mogbo could land with the Philadelphia 76ers via a trade with Chicago. Ighodaro, formerly of Marquette, is projected to join the Memphis Grizzlies.

This would mark the second consecutive year without a Nigerian player chosen in the first round. However, 2020 saw a record-breaking six Nigerian selections, including Isaac Okoro, Onyeka Okongwu, Precious Achiuwa, Zeke Nnaji, Udoka Azubuike, and Desmond Bane.
France’s Zaccharie Risacher is projected as the top pick to Atlanta, with Alex Sarr possibly joining the Washington Wizards.
