Leicester City have offered Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, a new two year deal to remain at the King Power stadium, BoldSports reports.
The club, according to Leicester City Mercury, is desperate to keep Ndidi following their return to the Premier League this summer.
However, the financial details of the new deal offered to the 27-year-old Nigeria international was not disclosed.
They are also eager to extend the deals of three youngsters at the club the report further revealed.
The youngsters include Chris Popov, Amani Richards and Kian Pennant.
“There are three prospects (Popov, Richards and Pennant) who, like Wilfred Ndidi, have been offered new two-year deals with the club,” the report reads.
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old – whose contract expires this summer – is playing a waiting game with Barcelona, Sevilla, West Ham and Atletico Madrid prepared to sign him on a free transfer.
Ndidi equalled his best-ever tally in Europe this outgoing season since 2014 when he scored six goals and made six assists in 36 games for Leicester City.
Since arriving at the King Power Stadium in 2017 from Belgian side Genk for a reported £15m, Ndidi has made 273 appearances across all competitions, scoring 17 goals and making 17 assists.
