Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo netted his sixth league goal of the season, but it wasn’t enough to earn a victory as Al Qadasiya staged a comeback to defeat Al-Wehda 3-1 in their Saudi Pro League clash at the Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium.
Al-Wehda came into the match aiming for a win to build on back-to-back victories and move further away from the relegation zone. However, they were up against an in-form Al Qadasiya side that had suffered just one defeat in their last seven outings across all competitions.
Although Al Qadasiya controlled the early proceedings, Al-Wehda broke the deadlock in the 29th minute when Ighalo fired a superb shot into the top left corner, putting the visitors in front.

Undeterred by falling behind, the home team equalised minutes before halftime, as Cameron Puertas weaved his way into the box before unleashing a powerful strike that found the back of the net.
In the second half, Al Qadasiya completely took control, constantly creating chances as they sought to score the winning goal. Their efforts were held off by a determined Al-Wehda defense until the 86th minute, when Cameron Puertas poked in a header from Aubameyang to put his team ahead.
Aubameyang and Cameron Puertas linked up once more to put the game to bed, with the Spaniard delivering a perfectly timed pass that the Gabonese striker calmly tapped into the net, securing a crucial 3-1 win for Al Qadasiya.

The result sees Al Qadasiya climb to third place on the table with 65 points, holding a two-point lead over fourth-placed Al Nassr as the battle for AFC Champions League Elite qualification intensifies. On the other hand, Al-Wehda remain in 15th position, just two points clear of the relegation zone.
