Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has issued a rallying cry following Fulham’s 1-0 loss to Bournemouth at the Vitality stadium in his 360th club appearance, expressing the need to remain determined in their quest to achieve European football.
While Fulham came into the encounter three points ahead of Bournemouth, the home side stunned the Cottagers few seconds into the game, with Antoine Semenyo caressing a lovely shot into the bottom corner to give the Cherries an early lead.
Fulham controlled the game especially in the second half in search of a crucial equaliser. However, Bournemouth remained resilient in defense while Kepa Arrizabalaga looked unbeatable in goal, making seven saves to ultimately claim all three points, ending their six-game winless run in the Premier League.

The result meant that Bournemouth leapfrogged Fulham into eight place as both teams remain on 48 points after 32 games. They now trail seventh-placed Aston Villa by six points with six games to go as the race to secure European qualification continues in thrilling fashion.
Following the loss, Alex Iwobi expressed his readiness to fight until the end, posting an inspirational quote on his Instagram page which read: “Head up and go again.”
The Nigerian International was one of the few bright sparks for Fulham, creating one big chance while completing eight passes into the final third. Iwobi also helped the team out of possession, winning two ground duels, one aerial duel, and one tackle.
Fulham’s next challenge is a London Derby against Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea who will be desperate for victory after two consecutive league draws. On the other hand, Bournemouth will travel to face Crystal Palace, hoping to secure another win that could be crucial in boosting their European hopes.
