Gabe Vincent delivered a stellar performance for the Los Angeles Lakers in their hard-fought 104-98 win over the Houston Rockets at Crypto.com Arena.
The Rockets, currently second in the Western Conference standings, were looking to secure a top-six playoff spot but had their hopes dented by the fourth-placed Lakers.
Gabe Vincent was a game-changer off the bench, scoring a joint game-high 20 points, including 6-of-13 from beyond the arc, in just 24 minutes. He also contributed four rebounds and one assist.
All-Star guard Luka Dončić matched Vincent’s 20 points while adding nine assists and six rebounds. Dorian Finney-Smith also stepped up with 20 points, six rebounds, and three assists.
LeBron James made a crucial impact, notably blocking Alperen Şengün in the final 10 seconds of the game. He finished with 16 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Austin Reaves chipped in 12 points to help seal the win.
Since the turn of the year, Vincent has become one of the Lakers’ most reliable three-point shooters, averaging 35.7% from deep this season.

With seven games remaining in the regular season, both teams are vying to solidify their top-six playoff positions. The Lakers will face a challenging stretch against the Golden State Warriors, New Orleans Pelicans, the surging Oklahoma City Thunder (twice), Dallas Mavericks, Rockets, and Portland Trail Blazers.
