Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers received the prestigious Sam English Bowl award as Rangers’ Men’s top goalscorer during the club’s awards ceremony for the 2024-25 season held on Sunday evening.
Several awards were handed out during the ceremony for the Men’s, Women’s, and Academy teams, but it was Cyriel Dessers who claimed the first award of the night, honouring his impressive goalscoring contributions throughout the season.
Although he experienced a period of limited game time during the season, Cyriel Dessers battled his way back into the starting lineup, scoring 24 goals across all competitions, and recently marking his 100th appearance for the club with a last-minute winner against Dundee.

In other categories, Katie Wilkinson claimed both the Women’s Players’ Player of the Year award and the Women’s Top Goalscorer award, after netting 39 goals for Rangers’ women’s team to lead the scoring charts.
John Souttar was honoured with the John Greig CBE Achievement Award, while Nico Raskin was voted Men’s Players’ Player of the Year by the men’s first-team squad.
Chris Eadie received the Academy Goal of the Season award, Chelsea Cornet’s decisive strike in a 3-2 win over Celtic earned her the Women’s Goal of the Season, and Hamza Igamane secured the Men’s Goal of the Season accolade.
Hamza Igamane also took home the Men’s Young Player of the Year award, while Mia McAulay was named Women’s Young Player of the Year. Aiden McCallion earned the Academy Player of the Year honour, and Brogan Hay was crowned Women’s Player of the Year.
Along with his Players’ Player of the Year award, Nico Raskin was also named Men’s Player of the Year, while captain James Tavernier was honoured for making his 500th appearance for the club this season.
