Chelsea’s sporting directors have been slammed on social media after reports emerged suggesting they have put in a €40m bid for Samu Omorodion.
The Blues reportedly held talks with Atletico Madrid over their striker, Omorodion.
The 20-year-old has also been the subject of inquiries from West Ham and Nottingham Forest this window after impressing on a loan spell at Alaves despite only scoring nine goals in 35 league games, which made him their top scorer in La Liga.
A Chelsea fan @HarryStubbs1111 is clearly not very happy with the news posted on X, “The sporting director needs to get their head examined.”
Another supporter, @ArchieStanding, refused to get drawn into the negativity, saying, “There are about seven people on this entire app who have actually watched Samu Omorodion. Anyone who claims they have watched him enough to make a sufficient judgment on the player is telling porkies….. 97 percent of us googled him 27 minutes ago and don’t have a Scooby.
@MambalmMourinho appeared devastated, adding, “Can’t recognize my club man. Sad state of affairs.”
And @LOUW1LL1AMS simply said: “No way we getting Omarion.”
