The quartet of Justina Eyakpobeyan, Tima Godbless, Olayinka Olajide and Tobi Amusan beat Ghana and Liberia to claim gold in the women’s 4x100m at the 2024 CAA African Championships in Douala in Cameroon.
The Nigerian track and field stars claimed first position clocking a time of 42.76s to beat arch-rivals Ghana to second with Liberia coming third.
Ghanaian women’s team comprised of Hor Halutie, Mary Boakye, Deborah Acheampong, and Anita Afrifa.
The Nigerian team continued their impressive performance at the competition having constantly won gold in the category since 2018.
