Wikki Tourists, Warri Wolves, Kun Khalifat FC, and Barau FC have all secured promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after emerging as the top teams from the Northern and Southern Conferences, respectively.
All four clubs are guaranteed a place in Nigeria’s top-flight league after finishing first and second in their respective conferences at the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 playoffs held in Asaba.
Warri Wolves, who topped the Southern Conference, will face Wikki Tourists, the Northern Conference leaders, in a championship decider to determine the overall NNL winner for 2025.
To clinch promotion to the NPFL, Warri Wolves recorded two wins and a draw, while Kun Khalifat FC secured a win and a draw. In the Northern Conference, both Wikki Tourists and Barau FC earned one win and two draws each.

Wolves are returning to the NPFL for the first time since 2021, while Wikki Tourists make their comeback after relegation in the 2023/24 season. Kun Khalifat FC and Barau FC will be making their historic debuts in the top-flight.
Former Warri Wolves chairman, Moses Etc, in a chat with Bold Sports, praised the team’s achievement.
“It is a joyous moment for the entire Warri Wolves family, and they truly deserve this promotion,” he said. “The pressure was on the boys, especially playing at home. I hope they can go on to perform well in the NPFL.”
