Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has been linked with a move to Cypriot side ENY Ypsonas, but the club’s management is keeping their cards close to their chest.
Speaking on Cyprus’ SPOR FM, club general manager Dimitris Vrahimis refused to confirm or deny whether the team is actively pursuing the Super Eagles shot-stopper.
“It’s still too early. I don’t want to comment on that,” he said when asked about Uzoho.
Uzoho, who currently plays for Omonia Nicosia, has had an up-and-down season in the Cypriot First Division. With his future uncertain, a potential move within the league could offer him a fresh start — but nothing is official yet.

Meanwhile, ENY Ypsonas are making big plans as they prepare for their first season in the top flight. The club has confirmed they will play home games at the Ammochostos – Epistrofi Stadium next season, having ruled out a return to their previous ground at Tsirion due to increased costs.
“We’re preparing on all fronts — new kits, new players, the stadium, everything,” Vrahimis said. “We looked at other options, including the AEK Arena, but we finalised Ammochostos 15 days ago. The matter is closed.”
The club is also revamping its squad significantly. After gaining promotion with a 25-26 man squad, they plan to retain just 9–10 players and build a team capable of surviving — and thriving — in the top division.
“We’re aiming for more than just survival,” Vrahimis stated. “While we’re realistic, the long-term goal is to be among the top teams in Cyprus.”
With a reported budget of around €3 million, ENY Ypsonas are targeting both Cypriot and foreign players who already know the league well.
