Nigeria’s U-17 Women’s National Football team, The Flamingos will find out their group stage opponents tomorrow as the draw for the 9th FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2025 takes place in Rabat.

The 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup is scheduled to run from October 17 to November 8, with all matches set to be played in Rabat, marking a historic moment as Morocco becomes the first African country to host the tournament.
As the hosts, Morocco will be representing Africa alongside four other nations including Nigeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Zambia. Meanwhile, this edition will be the first to feature 24 teams.

The 24 qualified teams have been allocated to four pots of six teams each. Hosts Morocco are in pot 1 alongside Nigeria, Spain, Japan, USA and defending champions Korea DPR. All remaining teams were allocated to pots according to the FIFA ranking system.
The Flamingos have featured in every edition of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup except for the 2018 tournament. They reached the quarterfinal stage in 2010, 2012, and 2014, but their most impressive performance came in 2022 when they secured a historic third-place finish — their best showing to date in the competition.
