Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor are reportedly preparing a €10 million bid for Super Eagles winger Moses Simon ahead of a potential summer move.
The Turkish club sees the Nigerian as a key addition to their squad as they aim to reinforce ahead of the 2025/26 season. Several key players, including fellow Nigerian winger Anthony Nwakaeme, are expected to depart, making reinforcements essential.
According to reports, French Ligue 1 side Nantes are open to selling Simon, one of their longest-serving and most loyal players, after five years at the club.
Simon joined Nantes permanently in 2020 following a successful loan spell from Spanish outfit Levante. Since then, the 29-year-old has been a consistent performer, contributing regularly with goals and assists.
His contract was last extended in 2023, but with just one year remaining on his current deal and at the age of 29, the pacey and skillful winger is reportedly seeking a new challenge.
Simon attracted interest from Olympique Marseille and OGC Nice during the January transfer window, but Trabzonspor have now emerged as the most serious contender for his signature.
According to reports, the club is preparing a €10 million offer, which aligns with Simon’s current market value as listed by football statistics website Transfermarkt.
Despite Nantes’ disappointing season, Simon has been a standout performer, recording seven goals and nine assists in 30 league appearances. Overall, he has amassed 36 goals and 41 assists in 199 appearances across all competitions for La Maison Jaune.
