Sporting Lagos is gearing up to redeem themselves after their 3-1 defeat against Bendel Insurance in January as both teams prepare to clash at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in a Nigeria Premier Football League encounter this Sunday.

This match marks the commencement of the second phase of the NPFL. Known as the business end of the league, Sporting will be hoping to get the maximum points when they play at home.

Following their recent 1-0 triumph over Rivers United at home, the Lagos-based team enters the game with a revitalized sense of confidence. Meanwhile, Bendel Insurance seeks a resurgence following their 2-0 loss away to Bayelsa United.

It will be another tough test for the Tech Boys against another top-half-of-the-table team however, they will be banking on the experience of their new signings to help them weather the storm. Head coach Paul Offor acknowledges the difficulty of the upcoming match against Insurance but expresses determination to seize maximum points.

“Our objective is to clinch victory,” Offor affirmed in anticipation of the Bendel Insurance showdown. “Though formidable, we’ve prepared extensively and aim to give our all to secure the win.”
