West Brom striker, Josh Maja, has vowed to return stronger after undergoing successful ankle surgery on Thursday.
Maja is billed to miss at least four months of action due to the ankle injury he sustained on December 9 in the Baggies 2-1 defeat against Sunderland.
The former Bordeaux striker has failed to live up to expectations since joining the Baggies in the summer, as he has suffered from injuries that have ruled him out of action for the better part of the season’s first half.
Maja who is focusing on his recovery and rehabilitation took to Instagram to post the news of his successful surgery, also stating he was going to come back stronger from the setback.
“Grateful to God for the successful surgery,” he wrote on an Instagram post. “Focus is now on recovery and coming back stronger. A big thank you to everyone who sent messages of support, it means a lot.”
The 24-year-old has only scored once in nine substitute appearances for West Brom, but has missed 13 games due to injury.
