Super Eagles players Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were both on the scoresheet as Fulham secured a 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The victory was Fulham’s first at Old Trafford in 21 years.

Bassey put Fulham 1-0 ahead in the 65th minute, from a loose ball when it drops to him from a corner, to give Fulham a richly-deserved lead. The goal was his first goal for the club.

Harry Maguire however equalised with one minute of stoppage time to go, pouncing from close range after being left onside by Bassey.

Iwobi however ensured the London-based club went home with maximum points – their first on the road since the season’s opening day – beating Andre Onana from an Adama Traore pass.
