Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi came off the bench to score his first goal in 388 days, wrapping up Nice’s dominant 6-0 victory over Brest — a result that saw them secure a place in the Champions League play-offs.
After spending 8 months and 11 days sidelined with an ACL tear, Terem Moffi made his comeback in March, featuring as a substitute in Nice’s 2-1 Ligue 1 defeat to Monaco at the Stade Louis-II.
Since his return, Moffi has only played 33 minutes of football, with Nice carefully managing his fitness to prevent a setback and ensure he’s fully ready to hit top form next season.
However, the Nigerian striker made an instant impact when he was brought on against Brest, coming on in the 78th minute for Evann Guessand and scoring just four minutes later to put his side 5-0 ahead as they cruised to a comfortable victory.

Nice were relentless in attack on the night, racing to a 2-0 lead before the 20th minute with goals from Evann Guessand and Gaëtan Laborde. Badredine Bouanani then extended their advantage in the 28th minute, converting a penalty to hand the hosts a commanding 3-0 lead at halftime.
The onslaught carried into the second half, with Gaëtan Laborde netting his second of the night in the 75th minute to make it 4-0. Terem Moffi added a fifth shortly after coming on, before Ali Abdi capped off the rout in the 94th minute, sealing Nice’s biggest victory since their 8-0 thrashing of Saint-Étienne in September 2024.
The result saw Nice finish the season on 60 points, securing them a fourth-place finish in Ligue 1 and a spot in the third qualifying round of the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League.
