Sevilla manager Xavier García has expressed his delight at having Nigerian striker Akor Adams back in the squad following his recovery from a hamstring injury.
Adams joined the La Liga side in the January transfer window from French Ligue 1 club Montpellier in a €5.5 million move. However, he has managed just nine minutes of game time for his new club due to the injury.
The 25-year-old recently returned to training, but he is unlikely to be available for Sevilla’s match against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.

Speaking at a press conference, García shared his excitement about having more of his squad return from injury as Sevilla pushes for a European qualification spot.
“We are very happy because everyone is recovering, and the infirmary is almost empty. Akor has completed a good portion of training and is progressing well. Kike had some minor discomfort, but we hope he can train tomorrow, while Vargas is fine and has overcome his minor issues. Everyone, except Nianzou, is now fully integrated into the process.”
Before joining Sevilla, Adams recorded three goals and one assist in 15 appearances for Montpellier.
