Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar has achieved an impressive 100% success rate with his shots on target in LaLiga since February 1, scoring four goals from four shots on target, the highest of any player in the competition within that time according to OptaJose.

The 28-year-old has been in outstanding form for Valencia, scoring crucial goals, including one against Villarreal to secure a 1-1 draw and a brace against Osasuna in a 3-3 draw. His impressive performances earned him a starting spot in his third consecutive La Liga game against Real Valladolid.

Sadiq Umar made the most of his opportunity, contributing to the first goal and scoring in the 58th minute to secure a vital 2-1 win for Valencia, helping them move out of the relegation zone. His timely form has been a significant boost for the Spanish side, who are fighting to avoid relegation.

Valencia currently sit 16th on the table with 27 points, one point clear of the relegation zone. With 11 games remaining, Valencia supporters will be counting on Sadiq Umar to maintain his form and improve their chances of safety.

Sadiq Umar’s impressive form could also be crucial for the Super Eagles in their upcoming World Cup qualifier clashes against Rwanda and Zimbabwe. However, although he was included in the 39-man provisional squad, his selection in the final squad remains uncertain.

Valencia will be eager to secure their La Liga status to increase their chances of keeping Sadiq Umar at the club permanently. Nonetheless, they will face competition from other clubs impressed by the Nigerian striker’s recent performances.

It also remains to be seen whether Sadiq Umar will return to Real Sociedad, who have struggled with scoring goals this season, having netted only 23 goals, seven less than Valencia, highlighting their need for attacking reinforcements.
