Paris FC have officially bid farewell to Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, whose contract with the club expires this month.
Nnadozie made the switch to Paris FC in 2020 from Nigerian club Rivers Angels, initially signing an 18-month contract. She swiftly cemented her place as the club’s number one goalkeeper, displaying impressive performances that caught the eye of supporters.
Her breakthrough on the European stage came during the 2022–23 UEFA Women’s Champions League, where her penalty heroics eliminated English side Arsenal from the tournament. She also led her club to a 3rd place finish in the French Division 1 Féminine that season.
In 2024, Nnadozie made history as the first African to clinch the D1 Arkema Goalkeeper of the Season award, while also earning recognition as the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year for the second time in a row.

She further solidified her legacy in the 2024–25 campaign by producing two decisive saves during a tense penalty shootout against Paris Saint-Germain, helping Paris FC lift the Coupe de France for the first time in two decades.
The club confirmed her departure via an official post on X (formerly Twitter), expressing gratitude for her contributions over five impactful years.
“Arriving at Paris FC in 2020 from River Angels FC, Chiamaka immediately became a key part of the team,” the club stated. “Best goalkeeper in Arkema Première Ligue in 2023-2024, she left Paris FC after a magnificent victory in the Coupe de France in which she was one of the main players.”

“Paris FC warmly thanks Chiamaka for these five years, which will forever leave a mark on the club’s history. We wish her the best for the next stage of his career,” the statement added.
With her Paris FC chapter closed, Nnadozie now turns her attention to the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where she will aim to help Nigeria’s Super Falcons capture a record-extending 10th title. A decision on her club future is expected after the tournament.
