Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, opting to continue his career in Europe despite the massive financial incentives on the table according to football journalist Buchi Laba.
Al Hilal reportedly tabled a significantly high proposal worth €40 million annually, along with an additional €5 million in bonuses, in an aggressive bid to land the Nigerian international ahead of rival suitors and in time for the Club World Cup.
However, Osimhen has made it clear that his preference is to remain in Europe, with a top-tier Italian club showing interest and several other European sides still monitoring the situation. The striker is currently in Nigeria and is not rushing any decision regarding his next move.

His decision marks the second high-profile rejection for Al Hilal this summer, coming shortly after Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes also declined a switch to the Saudi Pro League, citing his desire to stay in Europe.
The development comes as a blow to Al Hilal’s new manager, Simone Inzaghi, who had prioritised Osimhen as a marquee signing. The Saudi side are also targeting AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez and Atalanta’s Ederson in their summer recruitment drive.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray — where Osimhen spent last season on loan — remain in close contact with the player and are expected to intensify efforts to secure him permanently, especially now that Al Hilal is out of contention.
