Super Eagles forwards Victor Osimhen, Tolu Arokodare and Cyriel Dessers are on the verge of ending the 2024/25 season as top scorers in their respective European leagues.
Osimhen, on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, is dominating the Turkish Super Lig. Arokodare plays for KRC Genk in Belgium, while Dessers leads the line for Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
All three have been in top form this season, with Osimhen the standout. The 25-year-old has scored 24 goals in 28 league matches—three more than Istanbul Basaksehir’s Krzysztof Piątek (21 in 31) and five ahead of Trabzonspor’s Simon Banza (19 in 29).

With three league games left, Osimhen is in pole position for the Golden Boot. He has 35 goals in 38 matches across all competitions for Galatasaray.
In Belgium, Arokodare is locked in a Golden Boot race with Sint-Truidense V.V.’s Adriano Bertaccini. Both have 20 league goals—Arokodare scored 17 in the regular season and three more in the playoffs.
Although Genk dropped out of title contention, Arokodare’s goals have been crucial. With two games left, he has a strong chance to finish top scorer.

In Scotland, Dessers leads the Premiership scoring chart with 17 goals, one ahead of Celtic’s Daizen Maeda and Dundee’s Simon Murray (16 each). With one game remaining, Dessers is close to clinching the award.
Across all competitions, Dessers has 28 goals in 54 appearances, Arokodare has 22 in 43, and Osimhen leads the trio with 35 in 38.
As the season winds down, all three Nigerian strikers are flying high, and each could finish with individual honours to cap an impressive campaign.
