Super Eagles fullback Bright Osayi-Samuel has penned a farewell message to Turkish side Fenerbahçe after completing his move to Birmingham City, Bold Sports reports.
The 27-year-old joined the Championship outfit on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Fenerbahçe. He signed a three-year deal that will keep him at St Andrew’s until the summer of 2028 and is expected to link up with his new teammates during their pre-season camp in Portugal.
In an emotional message shared on his official Instagram page, Osayi-Samuel wrote: “To my Fenerbahçe family, These past four years have been nothing short of unforgettable. From the first day I wore the yellow and navy jersey, I felt your passion, your pride, and your unwavering support. Together, we’ve shared victories, challenges, and memories that will stay with me forever.”
He continued: “To my teammates, coaches, medical team and staff thank you for trusting me, guiding me, and supporting me every step of the way. And to everyone behind the scenes – the ones whose hard work often goes unnoticed – you made this journey enjoyable.”

The Nigerian international concluded his farewell by wishing the club success in the upcoming campaign: “I wish Fenerbahce success & I know they will be champions this season! This isn’t goodbye—it’s see you later.”
Fenerbahçe also took to their social media platforms to pay tribute to Bright Osayi-Samuel following his departure to Birmingham City.
In their statement, the club wrote: “Since the 2020/21 season, you have proudly worn our striped jersey, earning a special place in the hearts of Fenerbahçe fans with your fighting spirit, endless energy, and genuine personality. We wish Bright Osayi-Samuel endless success at his new club.”

Osayi-Samuel, who joined Fenerbahçe in January 2021, made 126 appearances for the club. He was also part of the squad that ended the club’s ten-year wait for the Turkish Cup, winning the trophy in the 2022–23 season.
